Learners will explore Q&A for asking questions in plain language, Key Influencers to identify key factors driving outcomes, Decomposition Tree for detailed drill-downs, and Smart Narratives for automated storytelling. Hands-on exercises focus on applying these AI features to real datasets.

1. Q&A: Natural Language Queries

  1. Q&A allows users to type questions in plain English, and Power BI generates visuals automatically.
  2. Example:

  4. Power BI generates a bar chart showing sales per region.

Steps:

  1. Enable Q&A visual in a report.
  2. Type questions about your dataset.

2. Key Influencers Visual

  1. Identifies factors that most affect a selected measure or outcome.
  2. Example:

  4. Influencers: Region, Product Category, Discount Rate

Steps:

  1. Add Key Influencers visual to a report.
  2. Select the metric to analyze.

3. Decomposition Tree Visual

  1. Helps break down a metric by multiple dimensions to explore contributions.
  2. Example:
